Mark Plumb

Mark Plumb presents from a law enforcement background but has gained experience across other industries such as security, hospitality, disability support and teaching.

Equipped with a Bachelor of Applied Science and teaching degree, he spent the early phase of his career teaching intellectually disabled children, before changing career path and entering the realm of law enforcement. Here, he spent eighteen years obtaining skills and knowledge in various domains, including public order and critical incident management, hostage siege negotiation, and close personal protection, having opportunity to provide protection for numerous Australian and internationally protected dignitaries. In the later years of his policing career Mark performed in a counter-terrorist role with the AFP. Following Mark’s time in law enforcement, he spent time within regional offshore immigration processing centres as Learning & Development Coordinator, overseeing induction and ongoing operational safety training of a 500-strong local workforce and expat contingent on Manus Island, PNG. Mark then entered the Hospitality sector, performing the primary role of Learning & Development Manager, combined with operations and security management, at a large Queensland RSL venue, for just under five years, gaining further experience in customer service protocols, legislation and was instrumental in implementing the venues Covid-19 response. Meaningful training and program implementation has been prevalent throughout Mark’s career and he currently leads training programs within the Pro-Com team, in realms of Incident and Emergency Management, First Response Negotiation and Front Line Adaptive Communication (FLAC). Training remains a passion and ensures the client receives role-specific content as a representative of the Pro-Com team.
