Occupational Violence and Aggression Management (OVAM) and
Front Line Adaptive Communication (FLAC) programs

Programs are designed to build capability in front line staff managing situations of confrontation and aggression and to prevent occupational violence.

Programs are face to face with duration between 4 and 80 hours with eLearn and gamified options. Closely working with the client in development ensures that each program is specific to the working environment and challenges faced with a focus on dynamic risk assessment, negotiation philosophy to de-escalate and small team tactics. Courses are practical exercise heavy and built to accommodate modules including, active armed offender awareness, human behaviour, psychological aspects, IED management and last resort defensive tactics as the client requires. Virtual reality components and electronic workbooks may also be optioned in the 8 and 16-hour programs. This training has achieved great success and measurable results with staff including paramedics, transport staff working bus, rail and train, flight attendants, healthcare staff, security, retail staff and safety and government compliance teams.

Three frequently asked questions when planning your program.

Am I able to tailor a training program for my company?

Yes. PCC works closely with the client from the outset to design and build programs that suit the exact operational and workplace challenges faced with attention to the working environment, specific internal policy and with compliance regarding relevant legislation.  This process starts with an online meeting and brief Q&A process and where required, a visit to the workplace and interviews of key staff and finally program build. Once a pilot course is delivered we enter a refinement phase followed by post-delivery participant evaluation.

Are your training programs available in my state/territory?

Yes. PCC deliver training programs all across Australia and even extend to some off-shore locations. Procom has conducted training works in PNG, Nauru and on Christmas Island where our training was visited by the former Prime Minister Scott Morrison.

The PCC training contingent is a highly mobile team and regularly attend to clients in both metro and regional locations around the country, often catering for up to 6 courses per day. The team all possess training kit including IT and will set up in location and venue as provided by the client. Our electronic workbooks run with mobile WIFI to feed participant data at conclusion of training. Virtual reality and gamified training tools are also portable and carried with the team if this is optioned in training.

What do I receive when my training is complete?

A signed certificate of completion for the participant and a post training and participant evaluation report for the client. Participant attendance and evaluation scores are collected at the time of training via QR code.

PCC partners with a registered training organisation to issue nationally recognised units of competency and statements of attainment against its mapped training products should this be required.

It was the best Training the team have had and was the most appropriate for some of the situations they face with the public.

Learning the best and most effective ways to keep situations calm and to also protect yourself at the same time. The role playing was very useful including the various experiences related by the facilitators. The training was conducted in a lively, highly interactive manner, yet very informative with practical applications of what had been learned.
