ALL FRONT LINE RETAIL & HOTEL AND VENUE STAFF / MOBILE BRAND REPRESENTATIVE / TECHNICAL STAFF / DELIVERY STAFF / DRIVERS

PCC has a long standing and successful working relationship with Crown Resorts nationally, delivering communication and OVA management training to those working in the gaming space. Our work has contributed to significant increases in safety amongst security staff and reductions in incidents of physical confrontation.

PCC recognises the risk associated with staff performing duties in the ‘soft-target’ environment. Increasingly offenders are targeting retail venues such as late-night convenience stores, supermarkets, service stations, hotels, sporting, gaming and betting venues. Often staff are working alone within areas or alone all together in smaller venues and stores so we provide skills and techniques to deter and respond to threats. Recent tragic events in shopping centres and the prevalence of people carrying edged weapons requires that staff are trained to a higher degree and able to engage in a safe and confident manner, to manage scenes and assist customers and other innocent parties to safety.

PCC conducts programs to give staff an enhanced communication and safety ability and thus enhanced response and resolution capability. This increased capability and through exposure to realistic training scenarios leads to increased confidence and staff that are not afraid to come to work. The front-line adaptive communication (FLAC) program for retail can include components such as ‘being caught in a crime’ and ‘hostage survival’ preparing for worst case scenarios as one should in sound risk management. Not all clients require such a specialised level of training, however, and so the program, at a minimum, covers off on advanced communication strategies, safety, positioning, small team tactics and scene management, as well as having a heavy focus towards behavioural detection and prevention of crime. The program is currently being developed with Melbourne supermarkets.

PCC also provide an ‘in-house’ negotiation capability development program for retail sectors where public interests need to be protected. Clients requiring these specialised products include banking groups and large organisations employing staff at risk including response and management of Kidnap, ransom and recovery situations.

On a lighter note PCC has a media production arm where we design and produce specialised short film product to address safety and security issues for a variety of clients and needs. These include awareness and educational pieces through to educational case studies and 360 filming for virtual reality sequences.

Additionally, PCC provides consultancy to film and television production houses developing content pertaining to our teams background and expertise. This starts from brain-storming plot ideas with writing teams to script supervision and on-set technical advice’ PCC enjoyed assisting Southern Star Productions for 3 years on a highly acclaimed television drama series, receipt of an AFI for best drama in its third season.
